This is a list of Lieutenant Governors of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and precursor offices of similar scope, from the start of British resettlement of the Andaman Islands in 1858, at which time it was subordinated to British India. In 1947, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands achieved independence from the United Kingdom along with the rest of India. After independence, the chief commissioner and, later, the lieutenant governor, has been appointed by the President of India. The current Lieutenant Governor is A. K. Singh.
